Valerie and Brendan ~ UCONN engagement session

We first met Valerie a few years back when we took her college senior portraits.  She talked about how great her boyfriend was and how he was a hockey player at UCONN.  She was going to try to steal his jersey for a few pics, but knew she could never get away with it!  At the end of her session we told her she had better call us when they got engaged, and sure enough she did!!!  We started off with Valerie and Brendan venturing around the UCONN campus.  Check out the beautiful skies! There are so many great places around the campus to stop and take pics…this barn was definitely one of them! We took a quick refreshment break at Ted’s, one of their frequented spots with friends 🙂 Brendan proposed to Valerie at the top of this hill overlooking the campus. Of course it wasn’t covered with two feet of grass like there was today! And you can’t avoid the cows (or the Dairy Bar) if you’re on campus too! After leaving UCONN, we ventured over to Diana’s Pool, another favorite spot of theirs. The light reflecting under this bridge was just beautiful! After Diana’s Pool, we drove back through the campus to get some pics with their UCONN garb and the infamous Jonathan statue.   Brendan played hockey and Val was a cheerleader for the men’s basketball team.  A few weeks before their session, Brendan actually lost a tooth during a game.  He didn’t have his new permanent tooth in yet, so we couldn’t resist the next photo.
Val and Brendan ~ we had a great time spending the afternoon with the two of you! We’re sad we won’t be at the wedding, but we know that you will have a great life together and can’t wait to see pics from the big day!!
